Microlise Transport Conference 2019
Two weeks have passed since the Microlise Transport Conference, which has given us plenty of time to reflect on the event.
Our team had a very enjoyable day, listening to talks from the likes of the Government Office for Science, Highways England, the DVSA and more.
For those who have not previously attended this event, the Microlise conference is designed for those involved in the operation of road transport fleet. The day consists of a number of workshops and presentations, then ends with a panel of significant figures in the industry discussing a relevant topic.
This year, presentations gave an invaluable insight into the future of the industry. Speakers outlined key information which will help us all to ensure a clean, efficient and unprecedented change in the transport system.
Our Managing Director, Graham Lackey, was asked to return to the discussion panel to debate issues surrounding ‘Road transport and the environment’.
Other industry leaders on the panel included Richard Burnett, Chief Executive, RHA; Martin Flach, formerly of IVECO & now Consultant; and Dominic Phinn, Business Engagement Co-Ordinator, Clean Air, Client Earth.
