Last week saw Brit European celebrating yet another year of achievements, at our annual awards ceremony and Christmas lunch.
Donned in festive Christmas jumpers, a fabulous afternoon was had by all. Our teams from across the country gathered together, at Wychwood Park Golf Club, to recognise the members of Brit European who have been outstanding in the year.
The management put a lot of time and thought into choosing the nominations and category winners, so this year we would like to also recognise those who were nominated for each award too. Below, we have listed each award, along with the nominees and winner of each category:
UNSUNG HERO AWARD
This award is intended to recognise those individuals who worked tirelessly to support the core business operations and who can sometimes be overlooked. Without them the business would not function and we would not be able to do what we do.
Stephen Leadbetter & Josh Robinson
Andy Young & Alison Bradley
2ND PLACE – Andy Young & Alison Bradley
WINNER – Louise Hughes
TEAM OF THE YEAR
New for 2019, we have decided to add a new award. Everything we do succeeds because of the way we all work closely together as a team/individual teams and we wanted to recognise excellence in this area. Some of the teams are recognised structural teams whilst others are teams put together to achieve specific tasks and objectives.
Purfleet Port Team

OPERATOR OF THE YEAR
The largest part of the business still depends on the daily planning and scheduling of our extensive and impressive fleet of trucks and transporters. Not only do the operators organise and plan the myriad of customer requests/orders but they take legal responsibility for the safe and compliant operations of the fleet. We have some of the best in the transport industry and they underpin our successful business operations.

- Displayed one exceptional stand out contribution

The shortlist was then subject to the scrutiny and rigours of a multi skilled committee of senior management and experts from compliance, planning, maintenance and training.
